About the Journal

Jewish Thought is a peer-reviewed annual academic journal published in Hebrew by the Goldstein-Goren International Center for Jewish Thought at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.

The journal is included in the list of recognized academic journals maintained by Israel's Planning and Budgeting Committee (PBC) of the Council for Higher Education (Vatat).

Published online in open-access format, the journal accepts and publishes articles in both Hebrew and English.

Open Access Policy

All content published in the journal is freely available under an open-access policy. This policy is based on the principle that unrestricted access to scholarly research promotes the dissemination of knowledge and enriches academic discourse.

All articles are freely available for reading, downloading, copying, distribution, and sharing without financial, legal, or technical barriers.

Copyright and Licensing

All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license:
https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/

Copyright remains with the authors. Authors grant the journal the right of first publication and permit users to use, share, and redistribute the published content, provided appropriate attribution is given.

The journal supports the self-archiving of published articles in institutional and subject repositories.

Authors retain copyright and grant the journal a non-exclusive right to publish their work under the terms of the CC BY 4.0 license.

Peer Review Process

All submissions undergo double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers. Reviewers and authors remain anonymous throughout the review process. The final publication decision is made by the editorial team based on the reviewers' recommendations.

Publication Fees

The journal does not charge any Article Processing Charges (APCs), submission fees, or any other fees related to the submission, review, or publication of manuscripts.

Publication Frequency

The journal is published annually.

Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

Jewish Thought is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Authors

Authors must ensure that their work is original, is not under consideration by another journal, and that all sources and materials (including images) are properly cited and used with appropriate permissions. Authors must also disclose any conflicts of interest.

Editors

Editors evaluate submissions solely on the basis of their academic merit and are responsible for ensuring a fair, unbiased, and confidential peer-review process.

Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to provide objective and constructive evaluations, maintain confidentiality, and disclose any conflicts of interest.

Research Integrity

The journal does not tolerate plagiarism or unethical research practices. In cases of suspected misconduct, appropriate action will be taken in accordance with COPE guidelines, including rejection, correction, or retraction of published articles where necessary.

Preservation and Archiving Policy

The journal is archived through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), which provides secure long-term digital preservation and archiving all published content.
